Melinda has a way with words and her initial email caught my attention when she described her story with Brian. She wrote, “It was love at first smell. We met in college at U of M and I was forever trying to get his attention while he was wearing noise canceling headphones. So I told him he smelled. And apparently that’s how we fell in love. We have been long distance for three years so our wedding is a love story and a coming home story. It’s also a next chapter of our lives story as he starts his masters in business at U of M and I start residency as fresh minted MD.” Melinda describes Brian as patient and enjoys surprising her. Sophomore year Brian asked Melinda out on their first date and years later, after admittance to the masters program, he took Melinda back on campus and proposed near the same spot he originally asked her on their first date.

These two are adorably smitten. I had a blast shooting in the city Melinda calls home. I can’t wait for your June wedding at the RattleSnake Club!
