Some of our favorite clients are ones we've known for years. We photographed their wedding. Then their first home. Then the nursery, still being painted. Then the baby who arrived two weeks early and slept through the whole session.

Portraits at Kari Dawson + Co are not open to everyone. They're for the families, the seniors, the milestone moments that belong to people already in our world. Or people who feel like they should be.
No outdoor fields. No generic backdrops. We come to you.

The images we make together are meant to be printed, framed, and passed down. Not stored in a folder. Not living on a phone that will be replaced in three years.
We still have photographs from people who are no longer here. That's what a print does. It stays.

You've looked at the work and something felt familiar. The next step is a short conversation. Just the two of us getting to know each other (if we haven't met) and making sure this is the right fit.
YOUR DATE secured

Once we're aligned, your session date is held with a retainer. For bundle clients, both dates are confirmed at booking. From there, I'll send everything you need to prepare.
THE SESSION

I come to you. Your home, your light, your pace. Sessions are unhurried by design — maternity and family sessions are one hour, newborn sessions are two. Nothing is directed or staged. I work around your family, not the other way around.
gallery REVEAL

Your edited gallery arrives within 30 days. From there, you'll select your downloads, and we'll talk through print and album options at your pace. These images are meant to be held, not just stored.
