Corinne and Lucas drove up from Hillsdale College to meet me for their winter Edsel and Eleanor Ford House engagement photos. A little five hour day date so to speak with their combined drive time and session time at the Ford House.

Winter engagement sessions…

Many of my couples often wonder if I shoot all year round for engagements and the answer is always yes! Buuuut in the winter you can find me making more suggestions on shooting locations. Michigan can be very brown with lots of cloud cover and gray skies for weeks on end which. And your engagement photos deserve better than that. The Ford House is a perfect example of a way that we can incorporate nature with the pine trees on the property. Enjoy the backdrop of Lake Saint Clair. And even add warmth with the beautiful architecture of the estate itself. We happened to get quite lucky with mild temps and sunshine for Corinne and Lucas tough.

How they met…

A mere three weeks into their collegiate life Corinne met Lucas at the Liberal Arts college that is Hillsdale. They are expecting quite a few out of town friends and family for their big day as Lucas’s family travels in from California. Corinne’s family is from right here in Armada which you all know I am partial to and love our small town vibe.

Lucas and Corinne were engaged this past August in a park right on campus. The festivities and celebration of this amazing season of engagement have continued for them ever since. These two both have a true love for people. Corinne is in the nursing program at Hillsdale while Lucas is an EMT while he continues his studies as well.

This lovely couple have chosen two stunning backdrops for their nuptials with the ceremony at Saints Peter and Paul in downtown Detroit followed by a reception at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. I can’t wait to see how their plans come together and capture all of the emotions for them and their families.
