Their story…
Sarah first saw Byron playing in a band in an area where they both grew up in Iowa. That evening led to a Facebook friendship that spurred a long distance love to blossom. Sarah recalls loving how much she loved the many hours she and Byron would talk.
Byron proposed at Greenfield Village during their stroll through the Holiday Lights display. So it was no surprise when Sarah and Byron chose the Wellers Raisin Room for their wedding day. The warm stone walls and edison string lights coordinated perfectly with the industrial and historical feel they were hoping for.
Their ceremony…
They were married during an outdoor ceremony on the East Lawn at Wellers beneath a gorgeous sky, surrounded by loved ones. It was an intimate and emotional ceremony. The kind that leaves you feeling like their love is the indestructible kind. The tender way they looked at each other was inspiring.
Their reception…
The delicate florals, candle light and light grey linens softened and warmed the Raisin Room at Wellers creating a gorgeous and welcoming backdrop for dinner and dancing. As touching as the toasts were before dinner, the musical performances by many of their friends and family after dinner was truly a new favorite experience of mine. Byron is a member of an acapela group which serenaded Sarah after dinner bringing tears to the eyes of everyone in the room. And dance everyone did! Munchkins hopped on the backs of the adults dancing and everyone laughed and left it all on the dance floor while belting out the words to the music. Such an intimate experience for the loveliest couple!!!
Byron and Sarah, may your hearts continue to fuse together more intimately than you’ve experience thus far. In your times together, in moments apart, in the quiet way that you are together and all the seconds in between.
