These two are just the cutest! I had so much fun behind my camera watching them make funny faces at each other. And I love the way Brittany’s cute nose scrunches when she smiles at Danny. I met Brittany + Danny for their urban Downtown Detroit winter engagement session at Belle Isle. We originally planned to shoot inside the conservatory for half of their session because of our typical Michigan winter. Not only did we not shoot indoors, I almost took my jacket off. We had a gorgeous sunny afternoon on a mild winter day. Before we left Belle Isle I asked them to follow me to the river’s edge. The light was gorgeous and our beloved city sat proudly as their backdrop. My heart did cartwheels when Brittany ran into Danny’s arms and he spun her in circles. Not because I asked them to. Because it’s their thing. I hope Brittany continues to greet you that way for a long, long time, Danny!

Brittany is one of very few bride’s who called me. The first time we connected, we talked. On the phone! Conversation is not dead yet folks. I was excited when I got to meet them in person one afternoon in Detroit. Right away our conversation was easy and clicked well. I adore Brittany’s tiny frame juxtaposed against a much taller Danny. I think it actually makes them extra cute. They were so full of joy during their engagement session that I cannot wait to see their faces and reactions on their wedding day! Shooting in Detroit this winter is perfectly fitting as they prepare for their December wedding at the Detroit Athletic Club. I can’t wait to see the club lit up for Christmas.
