I love this wedding and I adore these people! I arrived at the hotel last weekend feeling like I already knew Jessica and Eric’s family. Their adorable flower girl, Zoe kept us all entertained all afternoon and Jessica’s little brother, Luke is my very favorite seven-year-old boy. He is the oldest and wisest seven-year-old I have ever met and he cuts straight to the point. He is adorable and incredibly funny without even meaning or trying to be. Jessica’s second favorite guy, their puppy Chase, made an appearance down the aisle wearing his handsome puppy cufflinks and bow tie. Eric and Jessica opted for a first look and had time for portraits with Chase before the ceremony which I’m sure helped settle Jessica’s nerves as she hoped it would, getting to see both of her boys before they said ‘I do’.
The rain fell in the afternoon as all the ladies had their hair and make-up done. If the rain bothered Jessica at all, she didn’t let on. In fact, there were only two brief moments I noticed Jess fidget even a little. She seamed perfectly content and pulled together all afternoon. Just as the girls began to make their way downstairs for the shuttle, the rain stopped. The temperature had cooled and just in time for their first look, the skies brightened. Just after the first look, Chase was brought out. He pulled on his leash trying to get to Jessica and he is such a good dog, he didn’t jump on anyone. He sat obediantly with his tongue out while Jess and Eric loved on him.
I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You filled our ears as Jessica made her way up the aisle to meet her groom and exchange their vows. They wrote and recited their own vows and shed a tear or two in the process. Rings were exchanged, kisses were shared and before long the toasts were made and the party was underway. The rain never did return and instead sun filled the sky. The rest of the evening was spent laughing, dancing and singing while surrounded by twinkle lights in the barn.
