The engagement session…

I was so excited to finally meet Natalie and Alex who are currently Texas residents as they flew home for their summer Belle Isle engagement photos. We expected the sun, heat, and humidity to be a bit brutal on Belle Isle. The truth is it was lovely to see the island crowded with visitors. The evening was beautiful and the sunset was magic as the light wrapped around these two who barely blinked while stacks of onlookers watched their session unfold. Don’t worry, they were already feeling comfortable with me and in front of my camera by then! I had a truly wonderful time getting to know Natalie and Alex both.

The wedding…

If you follow along on Instagram you already know these two were set to say ‘I do’ and ring in the new year together this New Year’s Eve but… Covid-19. But it’s not all bad news. Instead of rushing to find a wedding dress off the rack, Natalie was able to really hunt for ‘the one.’ And she found it here in Michigan. The bridesmaids are going to up the elegance with the dresses that have been chosen. New Year’s Even 2021 will be worth the wait!

Their story…

Natalie and Alex dated in high school before flying solo the first bit of their undergrad degrees before reconnecting among mutual friends at MSU. They knew pretty quickly then that both of them were in it for the long haul. Even dating long distance for a bit as school and careers took them to different states before Al made the move to Texas to reunite with Natalie. And their story will come full circle in the city where they grew up, met, and became high school sweethearts. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together at The Henry. I’m so honored to be on this journey with you!!
