I know, I know! Summer is in full swing and nobody wants to start thinking about fall right? Trust me, Kaitlyn and Chris’s Wolcott Mill fall engagement photos are worth pausing your summer scroll for.

There seems to be two separate portions, entrances, and areas for Wolcott Mill which I discovered while heading there for their engagement session. I quickly tried to clarify exactly where they should meet me, making note that at least one of the entrances was closed and locked. They were fabulous about the whole thing and we kicked the first portion of their session totally out of the park.

Then my camera DIED. Not the battery. Not a weird glitch. The whole thing just up and died. While rain loomed. I was born a problem solver though we I sent them to one of my favorite areas of Stony Creek which would change up the scenery, shorten the time between part one and part two because Stony is closer to my home where I had to go for a backup camera. You betcha I have not been to a single session of any kind without at least TWO cameras since.

Yay, we are regrouping at Stony…. its raining. The sun is literally shining while it rains. And because Jesus loves me the rain stopped and we wrapped up the rest of their session just as beautifully as it started. I can’t tell you what the private conversation was like between Kaitlyn and Chris but I can tell you that to me, they were gracious, patient, understanding, and tons of fun. Stuff happens, life happens, rain happens… world pandemics apparently happen.

And with that, the postponement of their original wedding day. Not only are these two all of the things I already mentioned and more, they are incredibly selfless. Because of their jobs, the early uncertainly of the virus, and general health precautions they were quarantined separately for a loooooong freaking time. That kind of sacrificial love is what all of us should work so hard to extend to our people! I am so excited that they landed in my life. My heart has expanded in size just by knowing them. And I’m proud to be walking alongside these beautiful humans!
