Fred and Bailey’s War Memorial summer wedding was a dream. There are so many personal touches and real deal connections that I don’t know where to begin. I started my day at Fred and Bailey’s home; in what I called ‘the plants baby room’ to be exact. I really, really wish I had my own plant baby room! The beautiful rug anchored the space that was full of their babies, precious collectibles, and so much cozy and texture with pillows and blankets. The room also matched their wedding style and decor. It may not be your typical summer wedding color palette but it worked and came together so beautifully.

Hawaiian vibes…

Hawaii is their happy place. Bailey is a Hawaiian vibe and so was her wedding details yet it was not cliche and so, so elegant. From her wedding day pajamas to their turtle in the living room. From her tattoos to the simple yet amazing wedding dress that was perfect for her wedding day but could be worn in Hawaii for dinner. Their wedding invitation suite is full of vibrant colors yet simple. The menswear was the perfect shade of blue while the ladies wore a stunning rust color. The dresses the ladies chose were unique to them all with a vintage appeal. And it all blended beautifully for their War Memorial summer wedding!

DIYs…

Bailey made her own boutonniere, bridesmaid bouquets, and her own bouquet. Also stunningly done and all in tones that tie right back to their wedding invitation, suits, and dresses. Let the tent at the War Memorial would explode with candles and gladiolas. It never occurred to me to use gladiolas but ummm, how Hawaiian? In the perfect shades with a BIG impact.

Plan your day YOUR way…

Fred won the battle on where to start his day… at his favorite brewery with his favorite dudes. They both really love the War Memorial so it made more sense to photograph Fred and the groomsman in a more formal manner at the War Memorial. But first… Bailey and Fred shared their first look at their local happy place: the Ford House. They spend many evenings strolling the property together before landing at their favorite ice cream parlor. They dedicated an entire hour to spending time together on their wedding day for portraits before reconnecting with their family and favorite humans.

Authentic people…

As a creative person slash INFJ slash enneagram 1, I notice a lot of unsaid words, body language, etc. I can sense the authenticity in connections, or the lack thereof. Bailey and Fred are so in love. They are so dedicated and unconditional in their love and support for their family and friends. And the entire day was full of a tangible sense of peace and gratitude.
