I was so excited to finally meet Abby and Dewey for their Meadow Brook Hall engagement session. This virtual thing is cool and all but I just love finally connecting with my people in person and hugging them in real life.

Most of my couples submit their formal given names when they submit their initial inquiry. Theirs read Abigail and Andrew but I prefer to know how you are referred to as family and friends. Well, Abigail’s given name is Elizabeth and she goes by Abby. I’ll be honest and tell ya, I can’t even remember Andrew’s given name but he goes by Dewey. I love it!

If I wasn’t already six months deep with my puppy, that I am convinced is my soul dog, I would have stolen their Pomski (Pomeranian/Siberian Husky mix)i. Not only is she the cutest little pup she is the most well behaved dog I have ever met. I have always had a dog. From childhood into my 40s. We have a senior Boston Terrier. While I have loved every single dog that I ever called mine I have loved none like I love my puppy. I now understand why you guys have birthday parties for your dogs and take them everywhere you’re allowed!

Dewey and Abby met and dated in high school. The connected and disconnected on off through the years before landing together in Florida. This is their first winter back in Michigan with a new puppy, new digs, and a little bling on Abby’s finger. She was sure she didn’t know how to look cute in the winter anymore. The photos will convince you that statement is false. They did a winter session right while being practical and still looking amazing!
