Katie + Bo…
I met Katie and Bo in person for the first time at their Marshall, Michigan engagement photo shoot. I was so thrilled they chose to bring their best dudes, Captain and Skipper, along, too. They were a dream.
Katie and Bo are a military family with a June 1 anniversary and just heard from The Henry and Lovett Hall that they were able to lock in their June 1, 2024 day to honor their anniversary and have a big celebration after a long deployment.
Marshall, MI…
Marshall has been their hometown for a short period of time but when they decided they wanted to have their session there I couldn’t resist. Being from Romeo I appreciate my small town. The family involvement, the parades, the festivals and charity work. I love running into familiar places at the small grocery, the coffee shop, or UPS. When people who run the places I frequent most become familiar faces and people you are excited to bump into and catch up.
Katie and Bo have visited nearly every store front on Marshall’s Main Street. I love eating something fried and grabbing a cocktail at one of the bars on Romeo’s Main Street so we had to pop into their local pub, too. A little walk down Main Street took us to the fountain where Bo proposed. Before all that though, we spent a little time meandering around the River Walk in Marshall where Katie and Bo like to walk their pups. While the two of them snuggled on a blanket together sipping on champagne and deer popped out of the woods and strolled through. I see deer almost every day but never that close. It was pretty magical.
Why YOU choose your location…
I always suggest that my couples brainstorm engagement session locations first because more often than not they will think of something that resonates with them on a personal level. Well, it can’t get more personal than the trails you walk your dogs together, the fountain where you got engaged, and a stroll though the small town you enjoy together. That is the why behind YOU doing the work of choosing a location.
Katie and Bo, 2024 might feel like a lifetime away, and there may be days during deployment that feel that way, but you’ll soon see that it is just a blip. You’ll be reunited and surrounded by your very favorite people as you say “I do.” Thank you for choosing me to capture your memories.
