Kristi and Aaron flew in from Birmingham, Alabama for their spring Ann Arbor engagement session, with their fur babies, at the Law Quad. The law quad was the perfect backdrop to change things up from the earthiness that will be their Planterra Conservatory wedding this fall. Gunner and Vinnie were dream puppy models which is no surprise to me because not only do their owners look like models also, they are fosters.
I think it takes a special calling on your heart to take in dogs of all ages, shapes, and sizes that have otherwise been discarded by their humans. I find it extra special when a couple can be on the same page and always have an open heart and open door for these babies that need a place to recover and be loved until their forever home is found.
Their to-do list while in Michigan was massive and also included a site visit to Planterra and lots of house hunting as they are soon making the move from Alabama to Michigan.
These two cannot get enough of each other and it was so fun getting to know them a bit better and see firsthand the kinetic draw they have toward one another. I am so excited to see their firey connection on their wedding day in November when all their plans come to life inside the conservatory.

Karli has been Kari’s creative partner for five years. Before every wedding, we visualize you as a couple, your venue, and your day, so we walk in prepared for a calm, intentional experience.
Kari is the creative director, and since she’s only human and can’t be everywhere at once, Karli closes the gaps. She shoots alongside Kari, keeps the day on schedule, carries your bouquet, fixes your veil, and is a real-life cheering squad.
That’s not even the best part. She’s also Kari’s daughter, which means we communicate without words. She anticipates what Kari needs before she asks, and together we’ve built a wedding-day rhythm you'll notice.
