Blush and black black tie Planterra winter wedding in West Bloomfield Michigan provided by Kari Dawson, top-rated Metro Detroit Wedding Photographer, and her team.
Shelley and Jose were torn between a winter wedding and a garden wedding then came upon Planterra and found the perfect match. A January wedding inside a legitimate conservatory. And a winter Planterra winter wedding was born. Of course, that meant weeks of entertaining family and friends as they traveled near and far to celebrate their nuptials. Followed by a much-needed honeymoon!
You’ll hear me say it over and over again. You can’t go wrong with a classic black tuxedo and bowtie. And pink is always in season. You know how much I love a good set of mix and match bridesmaids dresses. Their style and color palette was rounded out by a mix of dark wood-toned tables mixed in with champagne colored linens. Layer glass and gold chargers, silk napkins, with layer and layers of stunning florals and candlesticks and voila we have magic people.
I think I’ll leave the summary of how Shelley and Jose met and fell in love to them. “We met during medical school but really got to know each other during a trip to Puerto Rico for alternative spring break. We instantly bonded over Puerto Rican Rum, salsa dancing, and Ray LaMontagne. Of course, we also performed some life-saving volunteer work during that trip. Before we knew it, we were bonding over froyo and concerts, on a quest to find the best burger in Michigan. Now, five years and two cats later, the rest is history!”
