Alysha and Matthew’s navy Meadow Brook wedding is one I have been waiting for all year. Alysha and I have a similar sense of style; I knew she’d want to look and feel like a princess. She manages a Windsor so I knew their style was going to be on point and they are just so dang fun. You might remember their snowy engagement session. Anyone down for a shoot in the snow is just down to earth! I remember Alysha talking about how perfect the proposal was saying ‘I wouldn’t change a thing! Well, except maybe my outfit.’ And I knew we’d get along just fine!

Matthew and Alysha both are charming, witty, so funny, and driven. Alysha is the wild yin to Matthew’s more serious yang and they fit perfectly. With three fur pups that they are raising together it’s obvious they love animals.

When I mentioned Alysha wanting to look like a princess, she did just that. She wore a stunning ballgown that accentuated her in all the right places. Her toes were painted in the perfect shade of something blue. The only jewelry she wore in addition to her engagement ring was a pair of her grandmother’s costume jewelry. Alysha caught my emotions a little off guard with that little nugget because of the things I cherish most, it is the jewelry I have that used to be my grandma’s.

Her bridesmaids wore a stunning shade of navy. And you know I love to mix and match the bridesmaid’s dress styles! The menswear rounded off the color palette with a clean-lined simple grey suit and navy ties.

The reception was cozy and inviting with lots of candlelight but if I’m being honest we took a moment to skip riggggght by gushing over those details and beelined it for the dessert spread. We are always here for a dessert table. Or simple wedding cake. Or sorbet. Dessert. We’re here for dessert.

Matt and Alysha, the two of you were so much fun every step of the way. It has been an honor to have been trusted with your special moments and to be part of your first day as husband and wife. Welcome to your happily ever after!!!
