It has been a couple of years, but I am always up for a Goldner Walsh garden wedding!! I’ll circle back to Goldner Walsh in a second.

I love this couple! I love this family! I truly enjoy meeting and working with couples that feel like old friends. As I entered the Double Tree by Hilton in Bloomfield Hills I was greeted by Megan, her mama, her almost mother-in-law and besties. Which brings me to another thing I love: working in new spaces. Getting to look for creative ways to style details and wedding parties while staying true to them and their story. We found a lovely space full of light for Megan’s details and portraits. And the main lobby literally matched Erik’s suit!

Megan and Erik’s invitation suite really is the first peek of the wedding for me and their guests and absolutely is the cornerstone for how everything else came together. Simple and clean with just a hint of whimsy with the greenery embellishment. Megan’s other details are earthy and neutral. The lavender floor length bridesmaid dresses from Birdy Grey in the loveliest lavender color were a subtle pop of color. Lori of Floral Designs by Lori then created the perfect florals full of lush greenery, neutral petals, and just a hint of lavender and pink roses which pulled everything together perfectly. Just one ‘pop’ of color was necessary and our groom, Erik made it happen with his jewel-toned custom suit and gingham accents. Lori’s florals were perfectly placed for their outdoor ceremony. And wait until you see the magic she created in the reception tent at Edgewood Country Club!!

Their first look was so fun because for the first time our bride and our groom had no idea what the other was going to be wearing. Truly so fun. One of my favorite things about these two is the way they are completely unafraid of being completely themselves. The result is usually a belly laugh had by them both. The kind that makes your nose crinkle up in the best possible way. So. Much. Laughter.

As I was packing up at the end of the night, Megan was holding hands on the dance floor with her brother, Bryan who is one of our amazing grooms from earlier this year. Bryan also walked his sis, Megan, down the aisle earlier that day. ⁠Joining hands with them on the dance floor in a circle was their mama, Pat and Bryan’s new lovely bride, Alison. ⁠Bryan and Alison’s recent wedding can be seen HERE.

⁠You guys, I have seen a lot of really special moments and memories. But the four of them were dancing and bouncing and swinging hands, eyes closed, singing loudly and just living their best damn lives on the dance floor.⁠ The four of them individually have endured category five hurricanes in their lives. And that night on the dance floor, you could see just how dang thankful they each were to be together, to be HAPPY, and to be at peace. Just celebrating new life and marriages together. Celebrating family.

Circling back to Goldner Walsh; my superhero wedding clients that birthed TRIPLETS that you get little peaks at once or twice per year? They were married here at Goldner Walsh! They now have an amphitheater space (pictured below) for outdoor wedding ceremonies. The open greenhouses are still available for a rain plan, seated wedding meal, or even a strolling cocktail hour and dinner reception. The sun sets right into the windows of the greenhouse where music and dancing typically happen. It’s magical. Megan and Evan (superhero triplet parents) brought in special rental pieces for cocktail hour, their dessert display, card table, etc. Your options are limitless.
