Alicia lightly tapped her groom on the shoulder and it was if the world briefly stood still as Jay slowly turned to greet his lovely bride. His eyes were bright and wide when he saw her before shedding tears and sharing hugs and kisses. Wedding season began early April for me and while I’ve been busy shooting with friends and engagement sessions Jay + Alicia’s wedding officially kicked off weddings for me. And we were graced with a perfect day. Jay and Alicia spent their morning preparing at Weber’s Inn in Ann Arbor before we headed over to Ann Arbor for their first look and portraits at the Law Quad. The sky tried to drizzle a tad but held off and we were blessed with a gorgeous sky. I was so excited to be able to pull off images for the pair of them that incorporated architecture they love and later spending time in a natural setting to give them a northwest pacific feel reminiscent of Portland, OR where they currently reside. I had a great time with Jay and Alicia along with their bridal party and enjoyed exploring Weber’s Inn with it’s eclectic mix of rustic and modern design. The speeches given by their friends and family revealed the depth of their loving personalities and displayed the bonds that each of them were blessed to enjoy. Safe travels, Jay and Alicia and happy honeymooning in Hawaii!
