Amanda knew she wanted to get ready on her wedding day at her childhood home. She no longer occupied her bedroom in her parent’s home and they remodeled it for her. And, it served as the perfect backdrop as Amanda prepared to become Mrs. Shock. Every detail that Ken + Amanda chose was simple, just like Amanda and her quiet personality. From the wedding invitations that were champagne and grey with just a hint of sparkle to her petite and simple jewelry, and the florals that were done in creams and neutrals with a pop of peach perfect for fall. All of it a perfect combination for an autumn chapel wedding in Michigan. When Amanda left for her White House Wedding Chapel wedding she looked like a princess. Her wedding day was like watching a real life fairytale. We did have to do a little pushing and smooshing to get all of her dress inside the car but it was worth it because it flattered her so well and fit to perfection.
Ken displays his affection for Amanda proudly. Even if he tried to have a quiet mannerism and tried to be subtle in his actions, his face would still give him away. These two had smiles that stretched for miles all day long. As I watched them interact on their wedding day, much like their engagement session, it’s easy to see how much they truly enjoy being together. I didn’t find them in separate corners of the reception entertaining different friends and family. No, Ken and Amanda celebrated their entire day and into their evening together. Amanda + Ken, I pray you keep that sparkle in your eyes. May your home always be filled with the peace and presence of God and supernatural joy! Hugs!!
