A lovely and intimate Royal Park Hotel wedding celebration nine years in the making. Ashley and Karl met at university and have been inseparable ever since. They have spent the first few years of their professional lives building a foundation they are both proud of. Before tying the knot they opted to break ground on the new build of their dream home. And with many items checked off of their list of mutual and individual goals, they set out to plan the perfect, for them, wedding day.

Creating a genuine connection with my couple’s is something I am constantly striving for; it is the cornerstone of my little business. I am also very intentional about carrying that cultivation into the actual wedding day and connecting with your parents, family, and friends. I do love a big wedding but my heart truly sings during an intimate occasion like Karl and Ashley’s. Neither of them is very keen on being the center of attention. Ashley told me how confident and beautiful she felt on her wedding day… long before she left her hotel room for the ceremony. Karl and Ashley both remarked on how easy their day felt surrounded by the best of the best people in their lives. Big wedding vibes or small intimate ones… choose the path that best represents YOU.

Intimate weddings…

Just because Ashley and Karl chose to plan an intimate wedding does not mean they missed out on wedding day coverage or any of their dream photos. From the details and getting dressed to the ceremony, romantic portraits, and through to dinner, we did it all. We enjoyed a few ‘just married’ moments together outside the hotel which was perfectly timed with the setting sun. Not only did we create romantic memories for them on their wedding day but it also gave them a few minutes alone (ish) to take it all in.

From the precious gift to Ashley from her parents to cozy family photos in the Royal Park library to the intimacy of the conservatory for the ceremony and Maria’s sweet officiating, the perfectly setting sun, and a fun entrance before closing out the evening with dinner, every detail for Karl and Ashley was perfect.
