Plans delayed…

Instead of an Aurora Cellars Vineyard Wedding, Chris and Sarah had planned to get married in July at the Shinola Hotel. But ya know… covid. Let me tell you, after my first vineyard wedding, I could be biased, but maybe all weddings should be vineyard weddings.

Their style…

What I appreciate most about a classic elegant style is that it is so timeless and so classic that you can remain true to your style and wedding dreams even while changing locations dramatically. Classic and elegant is exactly what Sarah and Chris had planned. From the stationary to the florals to Sarah’s classic dress, heels, and pearls. And what really even is a classic wedding without black? I truly love bridesmaids in black combined with classic black tuxedos. From the Shinola Hotel to an Aurora Cellars Vineyard wedding.

Then Sarah and her planner, Megan made magic in the tent with black ribbons on the cloth napkins. Candlesticks in black and glass bases and table numbers in glass and black metal frames. They anchored the farm tables while the gauzy runner and neutral florals softened things back up.

Planner extraordinaire…

It was a bit of a wet morning. Okay, it was a lot wet up north last weekend. This was my first time working with Megan and Fox + Fern events and nothing tells you what a planner is capable of like a washed-out wedding prep morning. The rain didn’t even phase Megan. If you are planning a Northern Michigan wedding, she’s your girl!

The celebration…

And just in time for guests to begin arriving the skies dried. Their outdoor ceremony was anchored by a divine weeping willow tree that blew in the breeze. We had a blast breezing through family formals with such a fun bunch. Then the glorious sun basked us with its presence as we hit the grapevine for bride and groom portraits.

My team and I truly could not have asked for a better couple, better friends and family, or a better team of vendors. What a dream day for Chris and Sarah! Welcome to the Married Couple’s Club, you guys!!! xoxo
