I absolutely love it when couples go ‘off script’ and pull together a unique color scheme for the season like Ben and Kaleigh did for their fall Community House wedding this month. You already know I love a classic black suit or a tuxedo. The bowties, though, were the perfect shade of deep green creating a stunning fall color combo for the men. Their boutonnieres created by Shimmer Shine were large in size and some of the best bouts I’ve ever seen. That lush green color was pulled onto the lady’s side in the florals and greenery mixed with soft pastels and the ladies in a soft dusty green to keep things airy. I was obsessed with all of Kaleigh’s details from the invitation suite to her sparkly Betty Johnson shoes to her custom ring box in that same pop of green.

First look…

Spend more than a few minutes with Kaleigh and she’ll tell you that with her, there is never a dull moment. After working with her and Ben I can tell you that statement is very on brand. There were a few fleeting moments when Kaleigh wasn’t grinning ear to ear or belly laughing and those moments were the most tender of all. The men in Kaleigh’s family all snuck in for a peek at the bride before the ceremony and each one made all the ladies, myself included, shed tears. Her papa was first which was only made sweeter when her Nana walked down the aisle as her flower girl. Both Kaleigh’s brothers who shed tears themselves then swiftly turned into jokesters to lighten things back up. Then her dad who announced that while Kaleigh shouldn’t cry and ruin her makeup, there was no reason for him to hold back. But seeing mom stand nearby as each of her favorite men greeted her daughter on her wedding day… yup, she got me.

Their venues…

The Troy Historical Village is where their chapel is located and let me tell you how charming this little village and the chapel are. Ben and Kaleigh’s vows were precious as ever with a mix of tears and laughter. The highlight for them may just be ringing the church bell at the end of their ceremony and who can blame them! The exterior of the Community House is equally as charming as the ballroom and really shined as their gardens fade to fall. No one is more grateful than me that the rain cleared up so we had time to create the stunning wedding day photos they deserve.

Toasts were shared and before long the sun set and their meal transitioned into traditional dances. From there, all bets were off and that dance floor was packed! Oh! And a moment for the late-night snack because when your last name is Wetzel you just gotta have pretzels!!!
