Fall University of Michigan Campus Engagement. Ann Arbor, Michigan Engagement photography provided by Kari Dawson.
On a gorgeous Friday afternoon I met Matt and Shelley in Ann Arbor for their fall University of Michigan campus engagement session. The weather and the fall color did not disappoint. I’m pretty sure it was parent and/or family weekend on campus which made it a bit more hectic and crowded than usual. But none of us seemed to mind. The couple was posed in the Diag when a group of students began to chant ‘kiss, kiss’ as they passed by. Matt obliged and they shouted their victory. We got started though at the Engineering Arch where campus urban legend suggests that if college sweethearts kiss underneath the Engineering Arch by South University Street at precisely midnight, the couple will eventually marry. I’m a sucker for serendipity and romance, what can I say. We shared a lot of fun and a lot of laughs on the campus they love.
Their story…
Matt and Shelley met in business school through friends. Their first date sounded a little like my own first date with my husband. Their first date included lots of conversation. What it didn’t include was a dog bite like Todd on our first date. Shelley and Matt love to travel and already have a ton of placed checked of their bucket list. They current live and work in different states which makes things challenging. But their work travel often brings them together at their favorite places to travel and some new places, too.
I am so excited to be Matt and Shelley’s memory maker at their spring wedding at The Birmingham Community House!
