Winter Henry Ford Museum Wedding at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan provided by Kari Dawson, top-rated Metro Detroit wedding photographer, and her team.
Newlyweds…
I think you will quickly realize as you scroll down through Ben and Julie’s Henry Ford Museum wedding day photos that these two are wildly in love with each other. It was so obvious to me throughout their entire day from their absolutely beaming smiles to the multiple butt grabs. I said as much to Julie after the wedding and she signed her email as such “Julie and Ben (2 people who freaking love being married to each other!!!)”
A beautifully blended family…
But you know what is even sweeter than seeing how much these two love each other? Seeing how happy and supportive their children are. Parenting your own children can be quite the task. Taking on the responsibility of coparenting someone else’s children can’t be any easier. The ceremony, post ceremony, and speeches are full of happy tears. Julie’s daughter called her now stepdad, Ben her best friend and even said that she was excited for them to all finally be moving in together.
How they met…
Ben and Julie were introduced through a mutual friend. I don’t know what the roads looked like that lead them to each other but I do know that having found each other has made them both incredibly happy. Ben found Julie’s engagement ring at an antique shop in Ann Arbor. They returned to the same shop for their wedding bands and Ben found a vintage pair of cufflinks for the wedding, too.
Their style…
Julie’s dress was so vintage inspired that I had to ask her if it was a find or if it was new. It’s new so if you love it you can check the bridal boutique. Julie’s hair and makeup looked stunning combined with her dress and her to die for Jimmy Choo pumps! One of my favorite personal touches was the necklace that Julie wore that belonged to her late stepmother.
The Henry Ford…
I finally got my day to capture a reception inside the museum itself and they did not disappoint. Julie and Ben were introduced with their children and waltzed in under the airplane! I actually got teary eyed as they came in beaming from ear to ear holding hands before busting out their best dance moves together. The HUGE Christmas tree anchored the space while the string lights added warmth and intimacy. And the centerpieces were classic glam! Ben and Julie’s day was filled to the brim with their family, friends, and all of their darling children. The dance floor was packed and it was a lovely evening to kick of the holiday season and a brand new family!
Thank you, Julie and Ben for inviting me onto this incredibly journey with you and for trusting me with your memories. Hugs – Kari
