whitney + michael {i do} greystone golf club wedding

The Whitney that answered the door, as she prepped for her Greystone Golf Club Wedding, was bubbly and excited. I love that way her whole face squishes up with her biggest grin. Her bridesmaids and I all noticed the gradual shift as the preparations drew to a close and the time to head to the ceremony drew near. Still, the girls kept the suite at the Royal Park Hotel lively and bustling with excitement. The playlist had a clear wedding theme and soon Going to the Chapel echoed through the room. Final pins were placed. Whitney’s veil was set. In time, the bridesmaids climbed from behind the bathroom door and out of the big tub where they perched on the edge to share the mirror on the back of the door. Dresses were gathered and bags were packed. One last run to grab her sunglasses and Whitney climbed into the limousine that would escort her to her groom.

The sun shined brightly over the expanse of the golf course nestled in the small-ish town of Romeo we share. Michael and his groomsman were having a blast while my second shooter, Elida wrapped up their portraits. Whitney stood peering out a nearby window those final moments and waited for the music to cue. The sun lit up the blonde hair of the cutest little flower girls as they wandered the curved path to the ceremony. Before long, Whitney’s tearful face came into view, her dress hitting every curve with her dad on her arm also overwhelmed with emotion. The sun wrapped around Whitney as Michael’s father lead the ceremony in prayer, her veil glowed and the little stud details danced with light. Their laughter filled the outdoor space as the ceremony went on.

Happy honeymooning Michael and Whitney and enjoy getting settled into your lives together upon your return. I know nothing but great things are in store for you! Thank you, Elida for all of your gorgeous images!

  1. Diane Ollis says:

I am Whitney Kathryn’s mother. She was my youngest and 3rd child whom I loved as much as a Mother could love her 3 children. I introduced her to Jesus with my other 2 children and I faithfully took my 3 children to church where they all accepted Christ as their own personal Savior and Lord and were all Baptized!🙌🙏
I accepted Christ as my Savior in 1989 when Whitney was only one and I was 31,
and started faithfully taking my children to my kid’s to church. The greatest gift I gave my children was introducing them to Jesus! I met Mike when he was in 6th grade when Whitney and Mike met one another at the pencil sharpener at school. He was a sweet young man of God who came from a good Christian family! Their friendship turned into true love and I truly believe they were ordained by God to be husband and wife! I wish them nothing but the best and that they keep God alway’s as the head of their marriage, family, and home forever! I love you both very much Mike and Whitney💗 Love Alway’s, Mom xoxo
