Lake house engagement session in Goodrich Michigan provided by Kari Dawson, top rated Michigan wedding photographer.
Their first date left them both smitten kittens that couldn’t share a second date for weeks! In the meantime, Sarah dropped her phone in a lake and thought that was the last she’d hear of Bob. But, they did reconnect and when Bob asked for that second date, Sarah gave him two available days. Be ready to swoon because Bob’s response was ‘if Wednesday goes well, can I have Thursday, too?’ See! Told ya you’d swoon. Their engagement was an intimate one at home after Bob made dinner for Sarah and followed by the magic of Christmas lights!
I knew I was going to love these two right off the bat. I love the way they are honoring Bob’s late mother, honoring God, and building a faithful life together. Sarah sealed the deal with me when she was worried that 2.5 hours for family, wedding party, and couple portraits was a tight time schedule. That kind of time is a dream!
In keeping with family ties Sarah and Bob opted to have their engagement session at Sarah’s parent’s house on the lake. I had the best time with all of the puppies and meeting some of Sarah’s family. They were such troopers because it rained quite a bit so we all had soggy shoes, wet feet, wet dresses and shorts and that was all before they hopped into the lake. Thank you guys for inviting me into your family home where so many of your memories are made. I had a blast and loved getting to know you both better! Enjoy!! I can’t wait for your Oakland Hills wedding this year!!
