Stony Creek Metropark Fall Engagement Session provided by top-rated Metro Detroit Engagement and Wedding Photographer, Kari Dawson.
Erica’s grandfather got her a summer job during college where she met Bryan working for the Drain Commission. She learned to cut grass, paint, and use tools. And on the days she was lucky enough to work side by side with Bryan he not only made everything fun but let her off the hook on a thing or two. They were friends that summer and held off their courtship until Erica finished with school. One summer Bryan asked Erica to come over and his dog. And everyone around here knows we’re all big ole’ suckers for our fur babies! That was seven years ago and Erica would tell you that Bryan still makes everything fun.
Bryan wanted to propose before the Christmas holiday after Erica returned from a ladies-only trip to Ireland. A wrench was thrown in his plans after Erica returned from Ireland quite ill. He wanted to be able to share their exciting news with family and friends during the holidays and couldn’t wait any longer. So, he canceled his big proposal plans and asked Erica in the comfort of their kitchen with their fur baby present. Erica said yes. They both cried. They celebrated, puffy eyes and all, with a meal out together before popping in to surprise their parents at their homes.
You can see they have added a puppy to the mix and after sharing a gorgeous fall evening with them I am so excited for their June wedding at Glen Oaks!!
