When a potential bride tells you she saw your work from another wedding at her venue and feels like she hit the jackpot, it’s pretty safe to assume you’ll be a good fit together. Marie’s excitement in her initial emails with me was palpable. I couldn’t wait to meet them both. Billy and Marie are both MSU graduates but didn’t meet until after graduation. I hear countless stories from couples who find themselves on path toward each other and find so many connections and other opportunities for them to meet. Divinity has a way of insisting people find each other. The couple traveled to Florida for vacation and planned to stay at Marie’s parent’s condo. She was shocked and screeched when she saw both her parents and Billy’s parents inside. It wasn’t until she noticed the ring shaped balloon that she realized what was happening.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marie’s father at their session; he was so kind to drive them from location to location on the Michigan State University campus. I also loved meeting their adorable and energetic puggle, Izzy. Wait until you see her sweet face. I had a blast exploring the campus and getting to know them both. And I can’t wait to return to Planterra to see their winter wedding come to life.
