When I met Samantha and Steven for their Metro Detroit engagement photos we easily fell right into a smattering of conversation. They are so dang easy to chat with. We could have spent hours on end talking about anything and everything. I think each of us would have preferred taking more time to talk than we did but their shoot was still so fun, magical, and productive despite all of our chattiness.

There were a few magical moments for these two, wrapped in each other’s arms when I asked them to peek up at each other. And more than once I heard one or other repeat how magical their eyes looked in the light. Some people in this world that just make you better simply through knowing them. Samantha and Steven both have the ability to effortlessly make you feel like you are the only person in the world they care about. They exude gentleness and kindness.

They are also, like me, small beach town-loving folks! Stony Creek became the obvious choice for their session. These two are adventurous with scuba diving being among their favorite things to do together. But I think the thing that stands out most when you spend time with these two is their inner joy. They both always wear the biggest smiles. It is the kind of joy that leaps from their eyes. It’s infectious. Annnd like I already said… leaves you better simply by knowing them.

A special thank you to you both for your patience and generosity when I lost my father. We hadn’t yet even met in person but this beautiful white floral arrangement graced the room of my father’s service. I am still so touched and will forever remember the moment I saw your names on the card and the way it made my heart blossom. I have no doubt that your love is as divinely appointed as the gifts of the spirit you two walk in every single day. Thank you for walking in those gifts. You are definitely impacting people’s lives without even knowing it. And a final thank you for choosing me to walk alongside you on our journey to becoming husband and wife!!!
