Spring Planterra garden wedding in West Bloomfield, Michigan provided by Kari Dawson, top-rated Metro Detroit Wedding photographer, and her team.
March is the perfect month to plan a Planterra garden wedding. The first wedding I ever photographed at Planterra was (years ago) in the month of May and it actually snowed that wedding day. Sunshine, rain, or snow you will be surrounded by the glow of candles and twinkle lights among the lush greenery within the conservatory.
Caralyn and Jay selected a simple color palette of robins egg blue, white, black, and just a pop of pink. The combo is modern and fresh yet elegant and timeless. I loved seeing the gentleman in classic black tuxedos. And Jay in a black shirt and white tie to switch things up. The unique bridesmaid style of simple camis paired with pleated skirts was fun and refreshing.
Their Planterra garden wedding…
Caralyn and Jay met in the weeks before Covid slammed the world with its presence. They courted and quarantined together. Getting to know each other and Caralyn’s little guy, Mason. During their courtship the adoption for Caralyn and her little guy Mason was finalized. And the wedding day was the full culmination of bringing them all together as family. They were surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. Littles (nieces, nephews, and cousins) dotted the dance floor. The unity of the siblings and their families and children is really a special joy to witness. And our local music extraordinaire, Mary Ann Ross got the adults to join with with a fun game of Name that Tune and classics to keep them dancing all night.
