How they met…

Daniel received a prompt from his dating app for a ‘mutual connection’, clicks the profile, then hands the phone to his friend and says ‘what do you know about Rachel?’ With no additional thought the two of them would be set up. So if you ask Daniel how they met he will cheerfully tell you it was through a mutual friend assisted by a dating app.

Lincoln Park Engagement Story…

I was so thrilled when they decided to schedule their engagement session in Chicago. My first priority in settling on a location for an engagement session is always choosing a setting that resonates with my couple on a personal level. Rachel and Daniel’s beginning, current, and foreseeable future is in Chicago so it made perfect sense. And the plan for a Lincoln Park engagement session was born.

We had a great time exploring Lincoln Park together. Chatting about the wedding. All while getting to know each other and getting them comfortable in front of the camera.

Exploring Chicago…

Visiting Chicago and enjoying the city the way a local does is one of my favorite things. Looking for new places to eat. Sipping wine. Strolls along the Riverwalk. Music in the park. Hopefully in the near future a ball game or visit to the theatre will be a solid reason to go back. So it was no surprise to learn that among Daniel and Rachel’s things about Chicago are walking everywhere, trying new restaurants, and the local farmers market.

I am so thrilled to be on this journey with you both! Godspeed to Mr + Mrs Broder as you plan and prepare for an intimate backyard wedding at your home. We hosted ONE graduation party at home and that was enough for me. Wedding planning at your own home is no small undertaking. I especially adore knowing that for Rachel and Daniel getting married is their first priority and they have chosen the best possible scenario to ensure they get their wedding day!! I can’t wait!!
