I met Anna and the lovely ladies that surrounded her on her wedding day at the Lakeside Salon and Spa at Mission Point. That space is just beautiful. The ladies running the salon and styling the girls were equally as lovely. All of their finished hair and makeup looked so beautiful. They are an Aveda salon which I am quite partial to and always love seeing my favorite line being used on wedding days. The ladies looked fresh, natural, and flawless all day.

It was a bit warm, especially for an early June day as far north as Mackinac Island. Rain quite literally appeared out of nowhere (as it does on Mackinac). The resort is so lovely we had plenty of options for portraits while keeping everyone out of the rain. Thank you to Daniel and the groomsman and groomsladies that did get stuck near the promenade for a minute or two for your patience! Thank you also to the men who helped me navigate getting TB Floral’s amazing creations to the correct spaces.

A friend of Anna and Daniels’ created the hand-painted custom invitation suite which TB Floral then brought to life. Anna’s bridesmaids were draped in Anna’s very favorite color which looked truly remarkable on all of their skin tones. Daniel and his men were in classic black and his groomsladies looked equally stunning in classic black as well.

The ceremony..

The promenade space where their intimate wedding took place was bright and simple with gorgeous views of the lake beyond. Emotions bubbled over as Anna drew closer to Daniel up the aisle. An overwhelming sigh of relief to finally be getting married along with so much gratitude. These two have seen some things and experienced some days together going all the way back to high school. Navigating those years as you grow into the adults you will eventually become while in a serious relationship isn’t an easy task. And when you finally get to say ‘I do’ you know that you will happily say yes and remain committed with each day into the future.

It was such an honor to walk alongside you both through the planning phases and replanning phases and replanning phases which ultimately brought you to the most magical island on earth to say I do.
