Sarah and Craig own a home together and I was so thrilled when I realized that Sarah would be getting ready in her own home. One front corner of the house has a room full of gorgeous light. Sarah told me it was their favorite space where they spent a lot of time together enjoying coffee, reading, just spending time together. They even saw each other for the first time, on their wedding day, in that space. I think it’s going to be so special for them to look back on these memories for years and recall their wedding day but also the other memories they are making in the space.

Their big smiles are so authentic. Their bond is sincere and divinely appointed. How else can you describe it when a Sparty marries Maize and Blue. (Go Green!) Their precious families are so important that not only were all of their siblings part of the wedding party but so were their spouses. It was so lovely seeing the connection amongst them all and their parents. And of course the group was rounded out with friends that have become family.

Sarah and Craig’s lilac and gray summer Michigan wedding was particularly special for me because Sarah grew up right here in Romeo where my family and I are planted. The florals were provided by Romeo Florist where Sarah’s high school corsages came from. Where all of the corsages and the boutonnieres that I have ordered have come from. They got married in a church right on Main Street. I drove past my own street twice while getting from different locations for portraits and the ceremony. It was so fun for me.

Sarah and Craig, I really don’t know how we have managed to not bump into each other at Target but I sure hope we do sometime. I have loved every minute of getting to know you both. Your wedding day was perfect. I pray many blessings over you both and welcome you to the married couple’s club!!
