Zach and Rachel’s Jewish Bay Pointe wedding on Middle Straits Lake was as heartfelt as it was unforgettable. Their ceremony unfolded on the very lake Rachel grew up on with her late parents, making every moment deeply personal. From honoring her family’s memory during the Ketubah signing to a dance floor that pulsed with pure joy, their day reflected love, tradition, and the energy of two people who live and love fully.
Bay Pointe provided the perfect backdrop, with the lake shimmering behind them as Rachel’s aunt and uncle walked her down the aisle. Before signing the Ketubah, their rabbi lit two candles in memory of her parents and led a quiet moment of reflection. It was tender, tearful, and a reminder of how powerfully love carries on through family.
Rachel and Zach exchanged handwritten vows filled with inside jokes, sweet promises, and memories that drew laughter and happy tears from everyone present. Their dog, Mel, joined them for portraits and the ceremony, symbolizing the couple’s love of family in every form. More dogs at weddings, ok? OK!
Both Rachel and Zach chose black-tie elegance with thoughtful personal details. Rachel paired her gown with an open-toe silver kitten heel before swapping them out later for custom Nike Air Force Ones, featuring “Mrs. Neistein” in delicate rhinestones. Zach’s own custom sneakers bore their wedding date, a nod to their playful side. Together, they struck the perfect balance of timeless and modern.
The ceremony flowers were lush and romantic, blending white hydrangeas, soft dusty pink roses, and delicate greenery. Indoors, tall centerpieces and glowing candles filled the reception with warmth and intimacy.
Once the sun dipped behind the trees, the celebration turned into the kind of party people talk about for years. Rachel and Zach lit up the dance floor during the hora, surrounded by cheering friends and family. Later, Rachel took over the DJ booth for her favorite song, Mr. Brightside, belting out lyrics alongside Zach as their guests jumped and shouted in unison. Like their own private concert.
Their reception was equal parts elegance and unrestrained joy, with heartfelt toasts, traditional blessings, and a palpable sense of “it takes a village.”
Before the party began, we slipped away with the couple for just-married portraits on the golf course green. The golden hour light wrapped around them like a blessing, highlighting the connection that makes them such a magnetic pair. These quiet moments balanced the energy of the day, giving Zach and Rachel space to soak in the start of their new chapter.
Zach and Rachel’s Bay Pointe wedding proved that tradition and modern joy can live beautifully side by side. With the lake as witness, their families as foundation, and a dance floor that could have gone all night. And if the 3:30 am DM from Rachel is any indicator, it did! It was the kind of celebration that defines why I love what I do.
