Intimate summer backyard wedding at a private residence in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan provided by Kari Dawson, top-rated Michigan wedding photographer, and her team.
Their style…
Star Trax Event Production turned the Broder Residence into an extravagant, yet intimate, setting for a backyard wedding in Bloomfield Hills. Rachel and her mom along with their incredible vendor team executed an incredible weekend full of so much beauty, dry weather, love, and laughter.
I am completely smitten with the simplicity of the white tent, draping, and dance floor. That combined with the juxtaposition of the pure vibrance that were the rest of the details. The florals were stunning in their unstructured nature in colorful blooms that really wowed! Peep the installation over the dance floor was breathtaking. No detail was left unaccounted for from the colorful napkins to the boxwood wall. That wall served the purpose of a champagne wall and a departing gift of dessert wall later on. From the valet in their neighborhood to the giant balloons out front that welcomed guests. And a million other minute decisions and details along the way.
Their connection…
Dan and Rachel can hardly contain their affection for each other. After their first look and through their portraits together as a couple they easily continued to chat with each other. Imagine, they spent less than 24 hours apart and as soon as they were reunited they were drawn to each other like magnets.
Their happiness is another thing that shined so bright throughout their wedding day. One look at Dan’s face in the images below and you will quickly see that he spent the entire day beaming ear to ear. Not to be outdone by Rachel though who literally bounced into the tent for their grand entrance. There is just something about that ‘just married’ feeling when it hits and you realize that all that is left to be done is hug your people and celebrate!
Their family and friends…
Rachel wasn’t keen on an outdoor or backyard wedding but she was positive that she wanted to be able to choose a wedding date and find a way to make it happen while following covid guidelines. They were prepared for everything. Rachel didn’t get the indoor wedding. But Daniel did get to walk down the aisle/staircase to Backstreet Boys “I want it that way.” I fail to see the fairness but I adore their quirky personalities!
Watching Daniel beam ear to ear alongside and along with Rachel is a level of joy I won’t soon forget. But what I also noticed was how incredibly important these two made every single guest feel like the most important guest. Every embrace, every candid photo, every conversation, and every second on the dance floor had them both dedicated to loving their people well. It is no surprise then to know that both the Border and Kessler families were each as warm and welcoming as I navigated a full weekend with them all.
