Fall dusty blue and black classic, romantic, and glamorous Lovett Hall Wedding at the Henry Ford Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan provided by Kari Dawson, top-rated Detroit wedding photographer, and her team.
A Lovett Hall Wedding…
I am a SUCKER for a black tie wedding! But Abby and Dewey took it up a notch and softened it a bit with the soft blue hues throughout their details. Abby loved that the bottoms of her Betsy Johnson wedding day shoes were blue. I gushed over her dress for at least 30 minutes and that was before she even put it on. I am absolutely obsessed with the bridesmaid’s Alfred Sung pale blue floor length dresses that are off the shoulder. So freaking flattering on each one of them. And you already know I am going to say how much I love dudes in a classic tuxedo. Back to Abby’s dressed. The silhouette of her dress all by itself with the buttons ran the full length of it made it incredible to begin with. She then added a cathedral length veil to her hair done in Hollywood waves. THEN she added the skirt to the dress. Oh my goodness, be excited to scroll to see a better view of Abby and her dress.
Details…
The brunch that was displayed with mimosas was just darling. The suite at the Henry was the perfect and spacious backdrop for getting ready. Dewey and Abby’s invitations were clean and classic with the envelopes wrapping them in that hint of blue. The lovely blue color was brought into the cords that were tied during the ceremony for the hand fasting. Shout out to all my lovelies that dig period tv and movies, ahem, Outlander. The bridesmaid’s robes were a delicate blue. As was the velvet ring box. I adore unstructured bouquets and am loving the trend of keeping things simple and creamy for the bridesmaid bouquets while adding that pop of color to the bouquet for the bride. The floral arch for the ceremony was exquisite! And the ballroom at Lovett Hall was one of the most stunning spaces I have ever seen. The music was set as center stage with marquee letters representing their family name. The number of glass vessels that held candles was as glorious as the florals that were mixed in with them. Add a sweetheart table so the couple can enjoy their first married meal together and the wedding cake of Abby’s dreams.
The lovely couple…
As lovely and perfect as all the details were, they are nothing compared to the warm and affectionate couple that Abby and Dewey are. We were just missing their little pomski! Thank you Abby and Dewey for inviting me to be part of this special time in your lives. Documenting your love, your families, and your wedding day has been an honor. Last winter was your first back in Michigan and this season you’ll have a husband and a wife to snuggle up to. Hugs – Kari
