As an engagement and wedding photographer I hear all the stories about how my couples meet. Before meeting Lauren and Andy for their downtown Rochester fall engagement session I wanted to know just how the two of them met. These two grew up about four minutes from each other. Listen, I know a lot of our Metro Detroit cities are large and populated but four minutes! It was during their college years that they finally connected. Andrew eventually moved to Michigan State University and Lauren would tell you the rest is history.

I eagerly began to get even more excited to work with them once I continued to learn more about each of them. We have much in common from enjoying this beautiful state we live in, a shared love for Dirty Dancing and the Notebook. The fact that Andy kiiiinda looks like Ryan Gosling is not lost on me and apparently he gets told frequently that he does.

So far, Lauren and Andrew would consider the planning like a remake of My Big Fat Greek Wedding – The Polish Version. Being the only non-polish person living under my roof I can relate and completely remember those planning stages and feelings when I planned my own wedding. And I know they are both just so excited for their nuptials, to spend more time together, and are looking forward to their future together. Can’t wait for the big day!!!
