Downtown Detroit fall Engagement Session. Detroit, Michigan engagement photos captured by Kari Dawson.
High school sweethearts, Rachael and Max had to first endure all four years of college dating long distance. After graduation, they both moved back to Michigan where they are now excited to be getting married. Max made the proposal such a personal and intimate affair by creating a crossword puzzle and the clues were all about them. Rachael is an avid puzzle solver. She told me, they solved the puzzle together in their living room and just before it was completely solved, Max stood Rachael up and asked her to be his wife. The clue to the puzzle spelled out Will You Marry Me. If that isn’t a romantic proposal then I don’t know what is.
For a portion of their engagement session, we popped into the Albert building where they live. The lobby on their floor begs you to sit down and pick up your feet and the balcony just on the other side has great views and cozy seating for relaxing outside. The Albert is a beautiful building. We had so much fun chatting and roaming around the city they both love. Max is a pretty big Tiger Baseball fan so we made a stop at Comerica Park. I loved finding new ways to photograph them in such familiar spaces and love the results.
Rachael and Max, I am so excited for your August wedding at Knollwood Country Club! You already know I believe in good August vibes!
