Cranberry and Navy fall Gem Theatre wedding in Downtown Detroit, Michigan provided by Kari Dawson, top-rated Detroit Wedding photographer and her team.
their story…
After two
their style…
It’s not surprising after attending multiple weddings together, exploring the lands across the pond, and many adventures together that they would be looking for something unique for their own wedding day. They found it at the Gem Theatre and managed to make it even better by discovering the El Moore Lodge in Midtown for their getting ready space.
My couples always manage to find a way, in September, to keep things streamlined and elegant while adding just a pop of color to reflect the changing season. The guys all looked so dapper in their navy ensembles with cranberry ties. They snatched the ties and the bridesmaid dresses from Azazie using the same dye batch. Even though the materials are different the colors between the dresses and the ties were spot on. Tuck that in your back pocket if you’re planning a wedding. And everyone knows by now that I love a mix and match set of bridesmaids dresses.
I was obsessed with all of Kimberly’s details. Their invitation suite is classic and elegant without being overly feminine. Her shoes are a velvet cranberry. The earrings: a warm golden gem and pearl combo that is dainty and a bit vintage. In fact, all of her elements and their location really brought a vintage vibe that I just loved. Even the wedding dress hanger was so unique being black and gold. A statement that suits their style and again not overly feminine. Kimberly’s bouquet and florals were also lacking seriousness (but not weight) with their unstructured form and really unique floral elements. Kimberly saved all the feminine details for her dress and her dress alone. And once you see it, you’ll agree, she NAILED it.
