Michael and Heather’s colorful Meadow Brook Mansion wedding in Rochester, Michigan proves that rich colors and unstructured florals aren’t just meant for fall. And the rustic unstructured centerpieces and candles are not only romantic but on-trend. The bridesmaids wore mix and match bridesmaid dresses in varying shades of blush. I’m obsessed with the bouquets if you can’t tell and they really popped off of the girl’s dresses. The groom wore a Scottish Tartan vest under his tuxedo making him really stand out from the groomsman in their classic black tuxedos. I love that the men in the family also wore Scottish tartan vests and/or ties. It was a special way to honor Michael’s family history.

A little more personal style…

Spend any amount of time with Heather and Michael together and it is clear that they are head over heels for each other. It is always so wonderful to witness the connections of each couple unfold on their wedding day. You might remember their fall engagement session and the pickup truck that I loved using as a ‘prop’. Well, I was so, so excited to see they brought ‘Ophelia’ their hunter green classic car for the wedding! Let me just tell you how fun it was posing them with their car and how amazing it looked parked at Meadow Brook. They exited their ceremony to Ophelia by the Lumineers, too which I just completely swooned about.
