If you’re looking for outfit inspiration for an engagement session in the fall you can take your lead from this lovely couple! Emily + Mikal chose rich colors that coordinated well but weren’t matchy-matchy and they both looked amazing for their Belle Isle Autumn Engagement. We started their session near the Conservatory on Belle Isle and all three of us were thrilled to have a gorgeous fall afternoon. As a football fan, I can attest to the lovely mild fall we’ve had this season in the Detroit area. So frolicking in the sunshine and leaves was just fine by me. The greenery growing on the walls and the rustic appeal of the greenhouses were the perfect backdrop. We also got lucky with plenty of fall color on the trees and open fields before heading over to the old Casino. Emily + Mikal have a quiet love and I enjoyed my afternoon in their company and documenting this exciting phase of their lives. I can’t wait for their summer wedding at one of my favorite venues, the Grosse Pointe War Memorial!
