Cranbrook House and Gardens Engagement…

It is no secret that the house and grounds at Cranbrook are stunning creating the perfect backdrop for an engagement session. However, if you have been around for a while you know that I don’t love just choosing pretty locations. That I actually prefer locations that resonate with my couple’s on a personal level. Well, Perry is an alumni and the Cranbrook grounds is where he took Jezelle on one of their first dates. Plus, they were allowed to bring their pup Koda making it an easy yes. I couldn’t help but be inspired by their genuine connection, capturing every stolen glance, laughter, and touch that unfolded throughout their session.

How they met…

Jezelle swiped right on Perry’s profile on Bumble. She is genuine and loyal while Perry is fun and quirky. Everyone is at least a little bit quirky though aren’t they? We have varying degrees of comfort and confidence when it comes to sharing our quirky personality but we are indeed all a little weird. While Jezelle and Perry have plenty of things in common, one stands out amongst the rest. That being… food. Perry and Jezelle are self professed foodies. Cooking at home together or trying new restaurants. At home, hit play on a little music, pour a cocktail/mocktail, and get to chopping and cooking together in the kitchen. Turning something necessary and otherwise mundane into an experience you can share. But their ideal date night begins at home with their favorite cocktail, the old fashioned, before dinner out at a great restaurant followed by movie night on the couch.

A little about Cranbrook…

The estate’s sprawling gardens offer endless possibilities for romantic strolls and intimate moments. The couple walked hand in hand, sharing whispers and stolen kisses as they explored the scenic pathways lush with vibrant blooms. Cranbrook House added an air of elegance to the engagement session with its timeless beauty. The stately pillars, ornate details, and grandeur of the house served as a stunning backdrop, heightening the romance that enveloped the atmosphere. It was Perry’s convertible BMW parked at the front of the estate on the cobble driveway that turned out to be my favorite nook to photograph them in. Every image will become a precious memory, forever preserving this couple’s love and anticipation as they count down the days to their wedding next year at Planterra.
