Royal Park Hotel Fall Wedding in Rochester, Michigan brought to you by Kari Dawson, top rated Rochester, Michigan wedding photographer, and her team.
Their ceremony…
When Jeff and Chantel were planning their September 23rd wedding I don’t think they bargained for a 90+ degree day. But while it was quite warm outside the full sun looked amazing inside both the church and the conservatory at the Royal Park Hotel. As Chantel stood next to her groom the sun began to shine into the sanctuary. Gradually as the ceremony progressed the sun moved higher and higher into the sky so that it moved across Jeff and Chantel both putting Chantel’s veil in a beautiful glow.
After they exchanged vows and rings the Priest asked both of their young girls to join their parents on the alter. Chantel’s daughter and Jeff’s daughter both made their way in their stunning flower girl dresses. As the priest prayed over this new family Chantel’s daughter held Jeff’s hand and peeked up at him with a sweet smile before they all kissed and hugged. It was one of the most beautiful moments I have experienced during any wedding ceremony.
Their reception…
If you are reading this as a friend or family member to Chantel and Jeff then you know that he doesn’t win many battles. I was evening teasing Jeff about it on their wedding day. The truth is, Jeff reminds me a lot of my husband, Todd who just really likes for me to be happy and have things my way. I see a lot of that in Jeff. So I knew when he started laughing, almost uncontrollably, before they fed each other cake that he was up to no good. They both laughed, Jeff teased Chantel with a bite then made her wait. Eventually they both ended up with a fair amount of cake all over their faces. Chantel is gorgeous and feminine but she isn’t delicate. Jeff is strong and relatively serious but on the inside he is all mushy and gushy when it comes to Chantel.
The details…
Their style and design choices were impeccable. Jeff wore a classic black Armani suit along with a white paisley dress shirt, long black neck tie, and cuff links with their wedding date on them. Chantel’s dress was nothing short of exquisite. There were a lot of layers so I know she had to be extra warm in the hot September air. The ladies bridesmaid dresses were the perfect shade of pink, a gorgeous v-neck fitted bodice that gave way to an a-line floor length dress with pockets. Pockets! Every dress should have pockets. Chanel kept her wedding bouquet neutral and classic with a single white tulip for her great grandmother. The bridesmaids stood out against their dresses with a pop of cranberry in theirs.
Their loved ones…
Jeff and Chantel shared an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. I loved that the reception was full of personal, traditional touches that paid honor to loved ones. And it was very kid-friendly. Not everyone can make a table full of children at a wedding reception feel welcome and content. Maybe it was the tiny bubble gum machines at their place settings. It could have been the stuffed animals they each received. Or it could have been the ‘teddy-bear toss.’ Either way, the wedding was a fun setting for them and their parents that came to celebrate.
Jeff and Chantel, it has truly been a pleasure being part of your wedding day and all of the planning days that lead to it. From the crazy drives to pick up gold chargers that Jeff agreed to do for Chantel. To the shopping excursions that lead to glorious finds like the huge gold and beaded candle holders. To special gifts from Jeff to Chantel on especially stressful days. And extra special gift to Jeff from Chantel on the morning of their wedding day. The card had him tearing up but not the gift! Thank you both for inviting me into this special time in your lives. Your girls are beautiful and I have no doubt you guys with create a happy life together. xoxo
