Michigan outdoor farm wedding in Oxford, Michigan provided by Kari Dawson and her team.
When I met with Jamie and Aaron for their consultation I was immediately smitten with them and had heart eye emoji feelings as I listed to them describe their dream backyard wedding at their own home. Their Engagement Session was pure magic. These two are completely at ease together and total naturals in front of the camera.
The Ceremony…
Their plans all came together perfectly with the help of Nikki Johns Events and her staff. The ceremony was set on either side of two rows of pine trees. You would think that someone purposefully planted them that way with an outdoor wedding in mind. The trees were lined with planters full of flowers that lead to a stunning natural alter. The alter was made purely of wood. It was the best kind of rustic and full of every kind of dahlia you can think of in rich late summer colors. Jamie walked with her dad up the natural aisle flanked by pine trees. She could hardly contain her excited when she reach her groom at the top of the aisle.
The Reception…
The ceiling of the tent was draped and gold chandeliers hung from above. Another natural element made of wood and decorated with dahlia’s was a large wreath that hung right over the dance floor. The tables were cleanly draped in white linens with white wooden chairs. The place settings were clear and the napkins were the perfect wine color. The simple setting and linens created such an elegant space full of rich colors with dahlia centerpieces finishing things off. The sun set beautifully behind Jamie and Aaron along with their bridal party during dinner. As dusk began to move in the evening gave way to laughter and dancing.
Jamie and Aaron’s three gorgeous dogs roamed the property all day along with the chickens and roosters. We can’t leave out their pig Penelope, too. All of it took place right where Jamie dreamed as a young girl she would one day live.
Jamie and Aaron, your wedding day was as gorgeous as the two of you are together. I loved every minute of planning and celebrating with you! Enjoy!
Full list of Wedding Day Vendors provided at the end of this post. The bouquets were created by Flowers of the Forest. The other floral decor came together after months and months of planning, planting, and harvesting by Jamie and her mom of Lone Oak Flower Shop. I can’t even imagine the pride they must feel after pulling everything together and the memories they must have created together in doing so.
