Gwen and Clarke have discovered a place of solitude in Canada that includes a lovely bridge where they like to spend time and where Clarke proposed. When we planned their romantic Rochester engagement session it was the bridges in and around the downtown area that first drew our attention there. Clarke is Canadian and he still lives and works there. The poor guy works nights and drove to the states for his engagement session with Gwen without sleep. Sleep isn’t an easy thing to sacrifice and the hours that he should have spent sleeping, before his next evening at work, were spent at their engagement session. I doubt Clarke would consider it a sacrifice though. I do however, suspect that there were a few double shots had by Clarke the following day. We planned their engagement session a bit earlier this year but the threat of tornadoes kept us all home instead. We were rewarded nicely for round two with an incredibly beautiful late afternoon full of sun and perfect temps. Gwen’s strawberry blonde hair looked magical as the warm sunlight wrapped around the pair of them.
These two are photographic pros! They interacted so easily with each other and without, what seemed like, a stitch of awkwardness or nervousness. Both of Gwen’s outfits were pink in some capacity. Pink. Romance. Sunset. Need I say more? These two will celebrate their marriage at Waldenwoods which is quickly becoming one of my favorite venues. I have seen Gwen’s ah-mazingly-to-die-for wedding gown and she is going to be such a stunning bride. It is so chic and so glamorous. I can’t wait to see how the gorgeous details they choose are set off with the rustic feel of Waldenwoods.
The first Christmas Clarke and Gwen spent together, Clarke designed this lovely heart pendant, had it made and gave it to her for Christmas. My heart fluttered when the universe aligned and her engagement ring, that Clarke also designed, fit perfectly in the middle. For their engagement session, Gwen wore his first gift at her heart and his promise of forever on her ring finger.
