jenna + steve {i do} greenfield village eagle tavern wedding

As a wedding photographer, you know you’re about to have a good day when you unbox a pair of Manolo Blahnik flats! Jenna didn’t hold back any portion of her personality the entire day. Never have I witnessed a bride as present as Jenna on her wedding day. Her face and personality are so expressive and there wasn’t one second where her expression was flat. You could see the depth of her thoughts in her quiet moments and the brightness of her smile in her laughter. The way Steve looks at Jenna is just so endearing. Jenna was a stunning bride! Totally flawless. Her dress was wrapped in a GIANT pink bag, when I arrived, and I gasped audibly as the train slipped from the bottom and more of it was uncovered. We carefully pulled everything out to be photographed before leaving for the church, where Jenna would get dressed, and when I finished things up, mom carefully put everything back exactly as it was placed originally. Her maids were all gorgeous in green and proud to be part of Jenna and Steve’s wedding day. These girls were genuinely happy and so witty they kept me laughing all day.

Jenna and Steve planned an intimate wedding surrounded by close relatives and friends with a rustic elegance feel. St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Monroe was stunning and beautiful to photograph. Later, Jenna’s amazing gown and Steve’s black tux and bow tie were paired with the romantic and rustic elegance that is Eagle Tavern at Greenfield Village. The juxtaposition of their glamorous elegance against the candle light, rustic tables and swags of babies breath was divine. You might be able to tell I hit the portrait jack-pot and had a difficult time choosing images for this blog post. These two are so natural together. Combine that with stunning property and the most amazing light and you have portrait gold. Jenna and Steve I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon! Safe travels home! Hugs – Kari
