Brianna and Phillip’s Macedonian Lovett Hall wedding was the perfect mix of tradition, family, and timeless Detroit elegance. From their emotional Orthodox ceremony to portraits across Greenfield Village and a night of dancing at Lovett Hall, every moment reflected their personalities and their love for one another.
Brianna began her wedding day at the home she shares with Phillip. It was a space filled with warmth and happy tears, especially during moments with her mom, dad, and closest friends. Her gown was stunning all on its own, yet she wore a detachable skirt and train for the ceremony, adding a dramatic touch. This thoughtful detail created the perfect transition from sacred tradition to joyful celebration later in the evening.
The ceremony took place at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Macedonian Orthodox Church in Sterling Heights. The church’s vibrant domes and biblical murals surrounded the couple as they exchanged vows, creating a breathtaking backdrop. Phillip, proud of his big Macedonian family, was supported by a wedding party of groomsmen in classic black tuxedos and bow ties. The bridesmaids wore champagne gowns in different silhouettes, complementing Brianna’s look beautifully.
After the ceremony, we captured portraits at several iconic Detroit locations. The grandeur of the church itself was unforgettable, while the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village added history and charm. Brianna and Phillip posed with a vintage Model T, a nod to Detroit’s roots and Phillip’s love of tradition. Finally, portraits at Lovett Hall tied everything together in classic style.
Lovett Hall was the perfect venue for their celebration. The ballroom glowed with chandeliers, tall floral centerpieces, and timeless white and champagne details created by Bellisario Florist. Guests enjoyed cultural Macedonian dancing that filled the night with joy and energy. Each table carried elegant florals and candlelight, blending tradition with sophistication.
As the night came to a close, Brianna’s mom surprised the couple with a vintage ivory getaway car. It was a moment straight out of a movie, romantic, timeless, and unforgettable. Against the grand architecture of Lovett Hall, these after dark portraits remain some of my favorite images of the day.
This is the type of wedding where every detail felt intentional, every tradition deeply honored, and every guest fully immersed in the celebration. Brianna and Phillip’s Macedonian Lovett Hall wedding was the perfect reflection of who they are: Brianna, dedicated and passionate; Phillip, sensible and kind. Together they built a day that honored tradition while celebrating their future. It was a joy to witness, capture, and preserve for them and their families.
