A classic Jewish and Christian wedding at Lovett Hall and Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan provided by Kari Dawson, top-rated Detroit wedding photographer, and her team.
A classic, timeless, romantic wedding…
Zach and Chelsea’s wedding at Lovett Hall can only be described as timeless, classic, and romantic which of course made us a perfect fit stylistically. From the moment I entered Chelsea’s suite at the Henry Autograph Collection she was beaming. Her makeup was impeccable while still looking like herself and her hair was pulled into an elegant updo. Then came the dress! The fit was as sleek as Chelsea and layered in gorgeous lace with a tulip hem. A little bling on her wrist and in her kitten heels. We added her veil and she was first look ready.
Friendship bracelets…
Chelsea nervously gave a gift each to her mom and sister which was not only a darling and generous gift but a beautifully sentimental moment between the three of them. They would go on to tell me that they would refer to them as ‘friendship bracelets.’ Chelsea’s sister had given them matching bracelets on her own wedding day. Turns out, it’s just kind of their thing and they buy each other everything from boots to bracelets. As a mother of four daughters, that kind of melted my heart.
Let’s hear it for the boys…
I met Zach and his groomsman at Lovett Hall for their final details: bowties, suspenders, and boutonnieres. The Library inside Lovett Hall was the perfect place for Zach to put on his finishing touches as his bride made her way over for their first look. At this point, Kaila from K Adam Events, already seamlessly pulled together all of Chelsea’s details, got everyone to the right place at the right time and was busily putting boutonnieres on all the guys. You’ll see more from Kaila below because she was everywhere, all day, doing all of the things!
Private vows and first looks…
Many couples are now opting to read their vows privately during their first look which is exactly what Zach and Chelsea opted for. Later, during the ceremony, a portion of their story and their vows would be shared with the friends and family but I loved that at least a portion of them were saved for just each other. The ceremony itself was so beautifully done after the Ketubah signing and allowed for the minister in Chelsea’s life to administer portions of the ceremony alongside the Rabi for Zach beautifully combining their life and their faith.
The newlyweds…
Zach is humble and a man of few words with an incredibly cool career as the owner and CEO of Public Rec which he built from the ground up. Chelsea has a very serious career that I also deeply admire but there was nothing serious about her on their wedding day. Nerves aside that is. Chelsea’s inner light and joy shined through her facial expressions all day and she definitely left her heart on the dance floor. It was so easy to see that these two are adored completely by everyone who knows and loves them.
It was an honor, as always, to be given the privilege of documenting these precious memories for you, Chelsea and Zach, and your families. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and you continue to chase your dreams and adventure together.
