Ford House Engagement…
Randi + Matthew’s sunset Ford House engagement photos at the Edsel and Eleanor estate are everything. Of course their dressier outfit inspiration at the end of the session works beautifully with the estate. But I just love the juxtoposition of their casual classic white and denim against the formality that is the Ford House. Add Stormi, their Bernese Mountain dog and the cuteness meter is off the charts.
Stormi…
Speaking of Stormi… she isn’t just cute. She is well on her in training and obedience. I didn’t hear her bark once; I also saw an Insta story of Matthew walking her when they saw a deer and she could care less. My family and I do not need another reason to want a dog, let alone a big dog, but Stormi is making a pretty good case for her breed.
How they met…
The Carey sisters, in their pre-teen and teen years, attended the same camp for 8 or 9 years. One fateful summer Matthew and his sister attended the same camp. It would be the only year they attended together. Apparently each camper has a camping chair. Unless you have a boyfriend or girlfriend. Then you share a chair. Matthew’s was yellow and I have been told that it has a pretty good breaking in since it held Matthew and Randi, on his lap, for an entire summer. Matthew’s parents still have said chair. I’m secretly hoping they find a way to humorously include it on the wedding day!
Wedding day countdown…
Camp was in 2009. They of course would not remain a couple throughout those twelve years but fate brought them back together. I mean, just wait until you see the way they look at each other! Special thanks to Matthew’s sister who came along to help with Stormi and laughed with us as we talked about camp. Already having met Randi’s family and Matthew’s sister has me so excited to finally meet the rest of the gang when we gather next year to celebrate Matthew and Randi’s wedding day at CCS. Their sense of style has me anxious to see how they fill the space!
